A band that started with one guitar, one tape deck and a very optimistic drum lesson.
The Story
The Pops formed in a basement that technically belonged to nobody and legally belonged to everybody. Their sound borrows the urgency of garage rock, the shine of 60s pop and the internal logic of a mid-summer road trip.
After a string of self-released demos that got the neighbours' attention (not all of it positive), they recorded Midnight Snack Records at a kitchen-table studio. It sold out three pressings of cassettes, which is two more than they ever expected.
